Schon wieder haben Lake Records und Paul Adams die Fangemeinde mit einer Rarität überrascht. Eine Doppel-CD mit ganz tollen Aufnahmen aus den 70er Jahren, aufgenommen in der Schweiz durch Niklaus Zust. 

Die Aufnahmen repräsentieren einen Querschnitt durch das Repertoire der Band. Endlich, endlich ist Csikosh nun auch in stereo erhältlich (bisher nur mono auf einer LP von 1970 aus Prag). 

Im weiteren finden wir hier auch die live Version von "Me and Bobby McGhee" mit Jackie Flavelle. Eine gute Mischung aus New Orleans Standards, Blues und Swing Themen, eben den Barber Sound aus jener Zeit.

Eine Doppel-CD, die nicht nur den Schweizer Barber Fan interessieren wird. 

 

 A big surprise for Barber fans: Paul Adams and the Lake Record Label have produced a double CD with great recordings from the seventies, recorded by Niklaus Zust in Switzerland

The double CD represents a  cross-section of the repertoire of the band of that time. At last, Czikosh, my personal favourite, in a stereo version (until now only in mono on the Prague LP of 1970)

Furthermore you will find the live version of "Me and Bobby McGhee", sung by Jackie Flavelle. The double CD is a very good mixture of New Orleans standards, Blues and Swing tunes - exactly the Barber Sound of the 70ies.

This double CD will not only be of interest for Swiss Barber fans!
