Lake Records wird im Laufe der Zeit alle Aufnahmen, die durch Denis Preston - Record Supervision Ltd aufgenommen und unter "The Lansdowne Jazz Series" oder "Pye Nixa Jazz Today" veröffentlicht worden sind, neu herausbringen. 

Dieses erste Set umfasst die Solo EP's von Chris (In Barber's Chair), Ian Wheeler (Introducing Ian), Monty Sunshine (Monty) und Pat Halcox (Pat), die in den Jahren 1960 - 1962 aufgenommen worden sind. Zusätzlich sind noch 3 Titel mit Ottilie Patterson enthalten; diese Aufnahmen waren bisher schwer erhältlich.

Paul Adams hat es wiederum verstanden, diese Aufnahmen sorgfältig aufzubereiten. Sie zeigen die Solisten der Chris Barber's Jazz Band, so wie sie die ältere Generation in Erinnerung hat.

Lake Records has begun to reissue all of the recordings made by Denis Preston - Record Supervision Ltd in the 1950s and 1960s. These recordings were originally issued on the labels "Columbia / The Lansdowne Jazz Series" or "Pye Nixa Jazz Today".

This set contains the solo EP's of Chris (In Barber's Chair), Ian Wheeler (introducing Ian), Monty Sunshine (Monty) and Pat Halcox (Pat). All 16 numbers were recorded between 1960 and 1962. In addition there are three titles featuring Ottilie Patterson (vocal). Until now it has been difficult to get these Patterson songs in Switzerland.

Paul Adams has once again done a fantastic work. The recordings have been carefully digitally remastered. They showcase the soloists of the Chris Barber Jazz Band as freshly as forty years ago.
